Polygenic risk scores (PRS) estimate an individual’s genetic liability to a trait or disease, calculated based on their genotype profile and relevant genome-wide association study (GWAS) data. Being one of the most popular computational tools for polygenic risk scores, PRSice2 provides an efficient and scalable framework for automating and simplifying PRS analyses on large scale biobank data. We will introduce PRSice2 and demonstrate its application on the UK Biobank dataset.
