Bcbio is a community developed and validated framework for somatic and germline variant calling and gene expression analysis based on NGS data (WES, gene panels, UMI, WGS, WGBS, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, scRNA-seq). Sergey Naumenko from HSPH Bioinformatics Core will present the current status of bcbio, its main user stories, input and output of a typical run, and how to connect with the bcbio development process. The target audience is experienced bioinformaticians who can benefit from bcbio when processing many samples in production and those willing to contribute to bcbio code, validations, and testing.
