Tao Wang is a predoctoral research fellow at Neurogenomics Laboratory at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). Mr. Wang has a B.S. in Bioinformatics and M.S. in Computer Science. He continues his research as a Ph.D student in Bioinformatics and Computer Science since 2012 at Harbin Institute of Technology, China. From September, 2015 to July 2017, he received joint Ph.D student training at Neurogenomics Laboratory under the mentorship of Dr. Scherzer and Dr. Dong at BWH. Since July, 2017, he has started predoctoral research fellow training at BWH. His research interests include neurodegenerative diseases, Bioinformatics, machine learning, Gene Ontology, biological network reconstruction and analysis, meta-genomics, eQTL analysis, GWAS analysis, meta analysis etc. He can program in multiple languages(including R, Python, C/C++, Perl, Linux shell scripts), and has extensive experience in analyzing NGS data on high performance computing clusters making him an invaluable asset to the project.  He has experience with Star, TopHat, Trinity, BWA, Bowtie2, Samtools, Bedtools, VCFtools, Plink, MatrixEQTL, METAL, MetaSoft etc..
