Haitham Elmarakeby is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and an affiliate Postdoctoral Researcher at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. He received BSc and MSc degrees from Egypt in Computer Engineering. He got his PhD in Computer Science from Virginia Tech with a focus on applying Machine Learning to solve biological problems. He has expertise in machine learning and data mining with a special interest in applying cutting-edge computational techniques to better understand progression and drug resistance in cancer. He is interested in building integrative and interpretable models to discover novel molecular biomarkers of clinical outcomes.
