I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a major in Neuroscience in 2018. At the time, a great deal of my research experience is involved in how to elucidate long-term memory formation through molecular mechanisms in the context of the epigenome. Right after, I switched to the research in system neuroscience. Currently, I am working in Boston Children’s Hospital to understand how visual information is processed and transmitted in the brain in more of a circuit level.
From these two bench-work research experience, many times, I found struggling to handle the massive data generated from most of the experiments. This is how got me interested in bioinformatics and I wish in the future I could use some computer tools to help me analyze and understand my results better.
